A special opportunity exists for TABOR students to join Johan Roux (Tabor College President) on a hike along the Heysen Trail. This is a wonderful chance to spend time with Johan, connect with other students, celebrate the end of term and have fun in nature!
Transportation: Students to arrange their own transport or to carpool
Distance: Approximately 30km
Duration: Distance covered over 2½ days
Where: from Tapanappa near Deep Creek Conservation Park to Waitpinga
Accommodation: Friday and Saturday night in tents. Locations to be advised closer to the date.
Fitness Requirements: A reasonable degree of fitness is required as you will be hiking approximately 13km a day with a backpack.
What to bring: Students to bring their own backpack, camping gear, food and cooking equipment. If necessary, assistance can be provided to those needing any camping equipment. A detailed hiking gear list will be provided to those who have registered.
